Renouned sculptor, John Suave. will be speaking at Local Flavor bookstore on Saturday, Sept 8th from 10:30 – 11 am about the Hemingway Project that introduces kids to the connection between art and reading. Already through his work in Oak Park, Illinois, students are exploring the relationship of his sculpture and the writings of Ernest Hemingway. Not only do the students write about the literature they read, but they also participate in hands-on projects that relate to it.
