Oil Painting 2-Day Workshop at Boyne Arts Center
Friday, July 28th & Saturday, July 29th

Participants: Minimum 6 / Maximum 10
In this workshop, students will be painting in oil from a photograph(s) of their choice.
Students will focus on, Color mixing, Color relationships, design, values, and drawing. There will also be a strong focus on how to approach a painting using photographs.
Scott will begin the workshop with a painting demonstration emphasizing the importance of starting a painting. Scott will also be giving individual instruction to each student throughout the workshop. Students are welcome to bring finished paintings for critique and direction.
Payment Options: You can stop into the Boyne Arts Center to register and pay by cash, check, or card. We are located above Cafe Sante’ at One Water Street, Suite #203, Boyne City, MI. 49712. Our entrance is under the GREEN awning to the left of the Alpine Chocolate Haus. Cancelation Policy:
Request to cancel class must be made at least 2 weeks in advance prior to the start of class to qualify for a full refund. In the event you are unable to attend a class you have registered for due to illness or an emergency; refunds or credits will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.
Please do not come to class if you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID or have recently tested positive. In the event we do not have the required minimum participants, you will be notified that class is canceled and you will be refunded. Thank you.

Scott Kenyon currently teaches painting and drawing classes at the Forest Hills Fine Arts Center located in Ada Michigan, along with workshops during the summer. Scott is a student of the Hawthorne/Hensche School of Painting known as the Cape School of Arts since 2010. Scott has exhibited his work locally and Nationally and curates’ art exhibitions.
